Here is the general amount of time it takes music to go live in the digital stores we distribute to: iTunes: Most releases take 24-72 hours to go live in iTunes however a random percentage of releases go through an internal store review process, which can take up to 16 BUSINESS days from the day they're received by the store. Please note, C.A.P. has no control over iTunes’ internal review process and cannot expedite your release. If you have a required release date we strongly recommend that you distribute your music more than 16 business days prior to that date.

Amazon On Demand:6-8 weeks
Google Play:1-2 weeks
Spotify:2-3 business days
Rdio:1-2 weeks
All other stores take 1-3 weeks
Remember, these are approximate and we can never guarantee the exact time your music will go live in these stores.

You can remove your content from any or all stores, at any time (at no charge).
You can take down one release or multiple releases.
Follow these steps to request a take down of your music:

For security purposes, please submit the email address registered to your Creative Audio Publishing account in the space below. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to remove your music from stores.
Once we process your request, most stores can take up to one week to remove your content. iTunes will remove the content within 48 hours of receiving the request.

Once a release has been paid for and delivered to the stores, we can't guarantee that all stores will make requested changes.
OPTION: Take Down Your Current Release and Distribute a New Version
This is recommended as it guarantees the change will be made in all stores. You will have to resubmit the release and pay for distribution again (we CANNOT issue a refund for the release you are taking down). Your release will receive a new UPC code because it’s technically a new product. However, if you have your own optional ISRCs or want to re-use the Creative Audio Publishing ISRCs, you can use them again on the same exact tracks. All stores will permanently remove any reviews and comments related to the original UPC as well as store playlists that included this UPC.

  1. Generally, stores report an entire month’s sales to C.A.P. on a two-month delay. So, if a sale of your music occurred in January, you would receive the money and sales reports in March.
  2. C.A.P. posts your sales reports and money in your C.A.P. account every Monday for all stores, as long as we’ve received reports.
  3. Tunes’ sales are typically reported on the first Monday of the month.
  4. We do not send you notifications when you get paid. Please check your account starting two months after your music has become available in stores.
  5. eMusic sales report quarterly and will appear in the second month of the next quarter (ex: if your eMusic sales took place in the first quarter, the sales for that quarter would report in May and be listed under January sales).
  6. If you've had no sales activity for a particular month in any store, you will not receive a sales report for that month.
